BACKGROUND:
With the anticipated new wing at the Rosemeade Recreation Center, the staff needs to purchase equipment for the 2nd-floor catwalk. The chosen equipment complements exercise on the walking track and will help address overflow from the cardio and weight room areas during peak times. This will include equipment such as ellipticals, recumbent bikes, airdyne bikes, leg curl machines, leg press machines, multi-press machines, lat/row functional weights, functional trainers, adjustable and abdominal benches, stretching cages, mats, and resistance bands.
Staff have selected equipment that patrons are familiar with and enjoy and from a company we have used before. Comm-Fit is the vendor of True Fitness for the North Texas region, and they are also a Buy-Board vendor.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The equipment and installation will be funded by Bond Capital funds. A 10% contingency was added.

Staff recommends approval of the purchase and installation of weight and cardio equipment from Comm-Fit for the new wing of the Rosemeade Recreation Center in an amount not to exceed $77,612.87.
