BACKGROUND:
The arson investigators and fire inspection/investigation personnel currently utilize cubicle office space in the Gravley Center. Transitioning this space into individual offices will enhance security and compliance requirements as well as contribute toward Carrollton Fire Rescue’s Strategic Business Plan goal of maintaining high quality fire facilities.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This item was approved in the FY24 budget in the amount of $65,000.00 and will be taken from the CFR’s General Fund.
IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This agenda item aligns with City Council’s goal of ensuring that City employees have the necessary and appropriate resources to do their jobs.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council approval of renovations to the Gravley Center by Cotton Global Disaster Solutions through a cooperative purchasing agreement with Omnia Partners in an amount not to exceed $65,000.00.
