Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Negotiate And Execute A Professional Services Contract With CEI For Engineering Design Services Related To The McInnish Synthetic Turf Project In An Amount Not To Exceed $107,100.00.

BACKGROUND:
This contract will provide the design and construction plans for the installation of synthetic turf on various fields at McInnish Sports Complex. The multi-purpose field at McInnish (#16) will be converted to synthetic turf which can be used for flag football, lacrosse and other sports. Infields for baseball and softball will also be considered based on cost estimates and available funding. The funding for this project was approved through the 2022 Bond Election.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
CEI has submitted a proposal to the City of Carrollton to perform the engineering design services for the project for an amount not to exceed $107,100.00. Funding is available in the Parks Consolidated Fund (Account Unit 854360).
IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This project supports the City Council’s strategic objectives and vision of building a community that families and businesses want to call home by managing infrastructure with fiduciary care.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to enter an engineering design services contract with CEI for the preparation of design and construction plans for the McInnish Synthetic Turf Project in an amount not to exceed $107,100.00.
