BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services is recommending the purchase of one LeeBoy 1000G asphalt lay down machine. This machine will replace unit 7566 based on age, maintenance and hours. Unit 7566 is a 2014 model and currently needs significant repairs. The LeeBoy 1000G is available immediately from ROMCO Equipment Company in Carrollton. The Public Works Department uses this piece of equipment to repair streets and alleys throughout the City.
Quotes were requested from ROMCO. Based on the performance, quality, availability and overall build, Public Works staff recommends purchasing the LeeBoy 1000G.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This unit will be purchased from ROMCO Equipment Company with budgeted funds through an interlocal agreement with the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative.
