BACKGROUND:
RFP #22-005 provides safety shoes for various departments in the City of Carrollton to maintain the protection requirements of City personnel. A contract was awarded to Northern Imports dba Work Wear Safety Shoes and Multi Service Technology dba Red Wing Business with an initial term of one (1) year, with the option of four (4), one (1) year renewals. After the initial term, the City exercised the first two renewal options in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Spending for the remaining two terms is projected to need Council authority to complete the contract.
The third- and fourth-year renewal spend will be $55,000.00 each year, for a total of $110,000.00. The departments utilizing this bid are: Public Works, Parks, Facilities, Environmental, Engineering, Utility Customer Service, and Development Services.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The safety shoes on RFP #22-005 will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.
