BACKGROUND:
This bid is for the purchase of traffic signal equipment repairs, maintenance, installation of new traffic signals, and replacement of existing pole tops and bases as necessary throughout the City.
On May 2, 2024, the City issued BID #24-043 for traffic signal equipment. Bid notifications were posted online, interested vendors were contacted and advertisements were placed in the Dallas Morning News. The bid closed on May 17, 2024. Ten vendors submitted a response.

The Department elected to award the bid to six vendors by line item based on the need for an adequate supply of parts and to maintain continuation of operations if a single vendor cannot provide the requested supplies. The award will be for a one-year initial term. The award also includes two additional, one-year renewal options, if mutually agreed upon by the City and the vendor, for a potential three-year total contract amount not to exceed $1,200,000.00.
