BACKGROUND:
The chemicals to be purchased from this price agreement will take care of all plant protection requirements for the Parks Department.
Bid notifications were posted online, previous and interested vendors were contacted, and advertisements were placed in the Dallas Morning News, of which four vendors responded. Multiple vendors were selected to provide plant protection chemicals. Helena Agri Enterprises, LLC was chosen as the primary vendor, as they have the lowest overall cost per item.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The chemicals on BID #24-058 were approved for purchase from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below:

IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This project supports and aligns with City Council’s goals and objectives of properly maintaining the City’s infrastructure.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends that the low bids meeting all specifications be awarded as listed below for an amount not to exceed $90,000 for the first year with two additional one-year renewal periods resulting in a total three-year contract in an amount not to exceed $270,000.00.
