Consider Approval Of RFQ #24-039 For Qualified Hotel Legislative Consultant To Focused Advocacy In The Amount Of $150,000.00 Annually, For A One-Year Agreement.

BACKGROUND:
This contract will be utilized by the Economic Development Department to assist in providing intergovernmental consulting services.
Bid notifications were posted online, previous and interested vendors were contacted, as well as advertisements placed in the Dallas Morning News. A total of four (4) responses were received. The responses were evaluated by a three (3)-person committee and a vendor interview was conducted to further assess qualifications and experience. Focused Advocacy was selected based on the evaluation and interview and determined to be the overall best value choice for the city.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The services for RFQ #24-039 will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.

IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This project supports and aligns with the City Council’s goals and objectives to economic development goals by obtaining the designation of “Qualified Hotel Project” (QHP) status through state legislation.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommend that the best overall bid meeting specifications be awarded to Focused Advocacy on a yearly amount of $150,000.00.
