BACKGROUND:
Facility Services is recommending the replacement of the urethane resin flooring in the shower restrooms at Crosby Recreation Center. The existing flooring is 4 years old and is beginning to lift in places. This replacement will affect the men's and women's shower restrooms. Work will be done using 12-hour shifts to expedite the replacement and minimize disruption to the programs at the Recreation Center. Both sets of restrooms will be done at the same time to reduce disruptions to the customers who utilize the showers. This work will take approximately 30 days to complete both restrooms and will include replacement of the shower stalls.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The flooring replacement will be completed using budgeted funds for Capital Replacements. The amount below includes a 10% contingency for any unforeseen costs.

IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
The replacement of this flooring will improve the condition of a public recreational facility that provides opportunities for a healthy lifestyle for Carrollton citizens, which is a City Council goal.
