Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Approve A Contract For The Purchase Of One Case TV370B Skid Steer From Associated Supply Company (ASCO) Through An Interlocal Agreement With The BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative In An Amount Not To Exceed $96,578.90.
Body
BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services recommends the purchase of one Case TV370B skid steer with tracks. The Public Works Department uses this type of unit to repair water lines, streets, sidewalks and drainage channels throughout the City. This unit will replace unit 70074 which was recently stolen.
Due to the changing needs of the Public Works Department to maintain the utility water lines it has been decided that a skid steer with tracks is needed to best accomplish the work of the water maintenance staff. Based on performance, safety, quality, availability and overall build, Public Works staff recommend the Case TV370B skid steer with tracks.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This unit will be purchased from ASCO with Risk (Insurance), and Fleet Replacement funds through an interlocal agreement with the BuyBoard purchasing cooperative.
