BACKGROUND:
The City currently utilizes Esri software to support its enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. The proposed agreement will renew the City’s existing enterprise GIS software licensing for an additional three-year term.
Esri provides GIS software used by City departments to create, manage, analyze, and share geographic and location-based information. The software supports a wide range of municipal operations, including infrastructure management, public safety, planning, development, asset management, field operations, mapping, data analysis, and public-facing applications.
Renewing the City’s enterprise GIS licensing will ensure continued access to the software, tools, updates, and capabilities required to maintain the City’s GIS environment and support departmental business processes. The agreement will also allow the City to continue providing reliable geographic data and mapping services to staff, residents, and other stakeholders.
The City will purchase the enterprise GIS software licensing from Esri through the Texas Department of Information Resources purchasing contract, DIR-CPO-4699. The agreement will be for a three-year term at an annual cost of $157,564.00.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The annual cost of the Esri enterprise GIS software licensing agreement will be paid from the applicable Information Technology software licensing account.
