Background:
This contract is for fuel purchases for City vehicles through an interlocal agreement with Tarrant County. The City currently purchases diesel and unleaded fuel annually through an existing interlocal agreement with Tarrant County. The third and final renewal for fuel with Tartan Oil, LLC was recently approved by Tarrant County.
The agreement with Tarrant County historically results in the best fuel pricing for the City since the County’s network includes over 300 governmental entities. The State of Texas allows the purchase of commodities through interlocal agreements.
The contract with Tarrant County will be for one year.
Financial Implications:
The fuel will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost centers and amounts as listed below.

Utility Fund 60650 - Mobile Equipment $ 270,000.00
