BACKGROUND:
Gensler will present the final draft of the Downtown Master Plan Update, which is one of the City Council’s strategic goals.
On January 23, 2024, City Council selected Gensler to update the 2008 Downtown Master Plan. Over the past year, this effort has been guided by extensive community engagement, including public workshops, stakeholder interviews, an online survey, and oversight by the Downtown Plan Advisory Committee (DPAC), which is a group made up of members of TOD Committee and stakeholders from the downtown area.
A 75-percent draft of the plan was presented to Council in a work session on December 3, 2024, during which initial feedback was provided. Based on that input, the final version has been updated and was endorsed by the Downtown Plan Advisory Committee (DPAC) on February 12, 2025.
