Body
BACKGROUND:
The Carrollton Police Department entered into 4 separate FLOCK contracts for IP cameras and computer software that’s supports their functionality and integration into Police operations.
These contracts had offset and overlapping terms and payment schedules. This contract consolidates all FLOCK services into one contract, with the exception of the DFR program which must be kept separate as it is part of a grant managed by Farmers Branch.
The three-year contract has no new services and requires no additional funding.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
No new funding is requested. All funding for the contract has been previously approved by council in Police’s budget.
The base contract amount is $368,528.34 per year, with a total contract amount of $1,105,585.01. The annual council approved amount includes a recurring $30,000 dollar buffer for camera relocations and replacement, which will come out of existing Police funds.
Police will utilize Texas DIR Contract #DIR-CPO-5844 to enter into a cooperative agreement.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends the city council approval of the resolution to enter into a contract with Flock Safety for an annual expenditure amount not to exceed $398,258.34 for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,194,775.02.
