Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into An Agreement With Metrocrest Services, Inc. For Services To Be Provided To Carrollton Citizens For The 2026-27 Fiscal Year.

 

Body

Background:

Upon adoption and approval of the Fiscal Year 2027 Operating and Capital Budget, the City Council will approve funding for a service contract with the nonprofit organization Metrocrest Services, Inc. The agreement will be for a one-year term, with two one-year renewal options. Metrocrest Services, Inc. also receives funding through the annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to support homelessness-related efforts. Funding for these activities has also been included in the Fiscal Year 2027 Capital Budget. The total amount of CDBG funds to be expended in Fiscal Year 2027 is $113,000, utilizing funds from the 2026 CDBG grant.

 

Financial Implications:

The service contract with Metrocrest Services, Inc. is budgeted in Fiscal Year 2027 for $629,092.

 

Staff Recommendation/Action Desired:

It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Metrocrest Services, Inc. for the provision of services to Carrollton citizens for Fiscal Year 2027 in an amount not to exceed $629,092 for the Initial Term. Each Renewal Term shall include annual adjustments in an amount determined by the City Council.
