Consider An Ordinance Adopting And Approving An Operating And Capital Budget For The City Of Carrollton, Making Appropriations Therefore For The Fiscal Year October 1, 2026 Through September 30, 2027.

Background:
The Proposed Budget was distributed to Council on July 30, 2026, and Council work sessions were held on August 11, 2026, and August 18, 2026, to discuss the Proposed Budget. The required public hearing on the Proposed Budget and Proposed Tax Rate will be held on September 1, 2026. The Proposed Budget was filed with the City Secretary and posted to the City website in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Code.
Required publications of Notices of the Proposed Tax Rate and the Budget Public Hearings were advertised in the Dallas Morning News on August 23, 2026.
If any additional decisions are made during the September 1, 2026 work session, they will be incorporated into the adopted budget and following ordinance.
Staff Recommendation/Action Desired:
City Council is requested to pass the attached ordinance adopting and approving the operating and capital budget for Fiscal Year 2027.
