Title
Consider And Take Final Action On An Ordinance For A Mutual Boundary Adjustment With The City Of Plano And The Town Of Hebron For Certain Tracts Of Land Located Along Charles Street. Case No. PLANX 2025-036 Charles Street Boundary Adjustment.
Body
BACKGROUND:
The City of Carrollton, the City of Plano and the Town of Hebron, have been discussing a mutual boundary adjustment along Charles Street. The intent of this adjustment is to make certain a street right-of-way (R-O-W) is within one city or another in a manner that is logical and relatively easy to determine. This adjustment will ensure consistency for such items as roadway maintenance, emergency response and law enforcement.
This section of Charles Street is currently located entirely in the Town of Hebron and is proposed to be incorporated into the city limits of Carrollton by way of this mutual boundary adjustment.
No private property is being adjusted or affected.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Because only public R-O-W is being affected by this adjustment, there will not be any effect on tax revenue.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends approval of the attached ordinance for the mutual boundary adjustment.
