Title
Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Approve A Contract For The Purchase Of Six Ford Super Duty Truck’s From Caldwell Country Ford Through An Interlocal Agreement With The BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative In An Amount Not To Exceed $525,097.24.
Body
Background:
Fleet Services recommends the purchase of six Ford Super Duty trucks to be assigned to the Parks, Public Works, Stormwater, and Fire Departments. These vehicles are scheduled for replacement in accordance with the Fleet Replacement Policy due to age, accumulated maintenance costs, and operational hours. Replacing these units will improve reliability, reduce maintenance downtime, and ensure City staff have the appropriate equipment to support daily operations.
Additionally, one Ford F350 is requested as a new addition to the Stormwater Division fleet. This vehicle will enhance the division’s ability to transport crews and equipment, tow operational trailers, and access offroad drainage areas more effectively.
Vehicle assignments and replacements are as follows:
• One Ford F250 (replaces Parks Unit 4267)
• One Ford F250 (replaces Public Works Unit 5065)
• One Ford F350 (new addition for Stormwater Division)
• Two Ford F450 trucks (replace Public Works Units 5057 and 5059)
• One Ford F550 medic chassis (replaces Fire Unit 30006)
Financial Implications:
These vehicles will be purchased using funds from the Fleet Replacement Fund and the Stormwater Fund.
