The resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services contract with Teague Nall & Perkins, Inc. for the Sandy Lake Road reconstruction project design was approved on January 11, 2022. Contract amendment no. 1 will provide additional engineering design services for the complete reconstruction of Sandy Lake Road from President George Bush Turnpike to IH-35E. The amendment includes an analysis of the drainage path from I-35 to the Sandy Lake Road project and design of new structures to replace the existing multi-box culvert crossing on Sandy Lake Road.

The total estimated project construction cost is $7,200,000. This project is part of the 2018 general obligation bond program.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Teague Nall & Perkins, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the City to perform the additional engineering design services for the project in an amount not to exceed $57,200.00, for a total project contract amount not to exceed $861,650.00. Funding is available in the Streets Consolidated Fund and the Utilities Consolidated Fund with 2018 GO bond funds.
