Title

Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Execute An Amendment To The Frost Bank Depository Services Contract To Update The Wet-Signature Check Threshold From $50,000 To $100,000.

Body

Background:

The City’s contract with Frost Bank includes banking services and requires two wet signatures for checks over $50,000. Staff recommends increasing this wet-signature threshold to $100,000 to align with current financial limits and ensure consistency across the City’s approval processes. Because the wet-signature requirement is defined in the existing banking agreement, this update requires Council approval and submitting the approved change to Frost Bank’s Board.

Financial Implications:

This amendment updates the check wet-signature threshold requirement and does not change annual banking service costs or authorized amounts.

Impact on Community Sustainability:

This supports and aligns with the City Council’s goals and objectives of adapting business practices to respond to changing conditions and to allocate resources for optimal results.

Staff Recommendation/Action Desired:

Staff recommends City Council authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to the Frost Bank Depository services contract to update the wet-signature check threshold from $50,000 to $100,000.
