Body

Background:

Romco Equipment Company provides heavy construction equipment for sale, lease, and rental. On March 3, 2026, the City Council approved SUP-508 for “Other Motor Vehicle Sales” to permit the sale of volumetric concrete mixing units, which are classified as heavy load trucks pursuant to Article 35 of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO).

The applicant has submitted a request to amend the previously approved SUP-508 to expand the range of allowable heavy load trucks. The proposed amendment would add asphalt distributors and water trucks to the list of permitted vehicle types, in addition to the volumetric concrete mixing units already approved under SUP-508. The applicant’s supporting exhibits illustrating the additional truck types are included for review.

Financial Implications:

There are no financial implications on current or future operating budgets regarding this request.
