Title

Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute The Documents Necessary To Enter Into An Easement Encroachment Agreement With CoServ Electric To Allow For The Placement Of Electric Conduit And Wiring Across And Within Easements Dedicated To the City Of Carrollton.

Body

Summary:

This agenda item is to adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an easement encroachment agreement that will allow CoServ facilities to pass across and within utility easements dedicated to the City of Carrollton at the Lifetime Fitness site.

Background:

Lifetime Fitness is a development currently under development in the northern area of the City and is located at 5015 Plano Parkway (Plano Pkwy and Parker Rd). The building in development is to receive electrical service from CoServ Electric.  Due to the layout of the site, there are locations where the proposed electrical lines will cross City of Carrollton public water easements on the site.  CoServ is seeking to execute an easement encroachment agreement with the City to allow for their electric lines to cross the City’s existing utility easements.

Financial Implications:

There is no impact to the city’s current or future operating budgets for this request.

Staff Recommendation/Action Desired:

Staff recommend Council adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the documents necessary to enter into an easement encroachment agreement with CoServ Electric to allow for the placement of electric conduit and wiring across and within easements dedicated to the City.
