Case No. PLSUP201900046 Repeal 5 SUPs.
Body
BACKGROUND:
This is a City-initiated request to reassess the continued appropriateness of five special use permits: SUP-54 (amateur radio operator’s antenna at a single-family home), SUP-115 (can bank kiosk), SUP-212 (driving school), SUP-251 (child daycare) and SUP-387 (cosmetology school). None of these sites are being used in accordance with the uses allowed by the approved special use permits. As a result the SUPs are no longer needed and should be removed from the City’s zoning map.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There are no financial implications on the current or future operating budgets regarding this request.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
On June 6, 2019, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended APPROVAL of repealing all five special use permits. The attached ordinance reflects the action of the Commission.
Staff recommends approval and adoption of the ordinance.
