BACKGROUND:
The services to be purchased from this bid award will be used to inspect customer irrigation systems to reduce water usage and higher rates.
On October 31, 2024, the City issued BID #25-014 for inspection of customer irrigation systems. Bid notifications were posted online, previous and interested vendors were contacted, as well as advertisements placed in the Dallas Morning News. The bids closed on November 18, 2024. Three vendors submitted a response.
The Environmental Services Department reviewed the submissions and selected Living Water Irrigation based on the lowest responsive bids per item. The award will be for a one-year initial term. The award also includes two additional one-year renewal options, if mutually agreed upon by the City and the vendor, for a potential three-year total contract not to exceed $60,000.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The services on Bid #25-014 will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommend that City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract pursuant to Bid #25-014 for Irrigation Inspections with Living Water Irrigation, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00, annually, for a three-year total of $60,000.00.
