Title
Consider Approval Of The Purchase Of Starting Blocks For The Rosemeade Rainforest By Sunbelt Pools Through An Inter-Local Agreement With BuyBoard In An Amount Not To Exceed $57,941.84.

Body
BACKGROUND:
The Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatics Center has an 8-lane 25-meter lap pool with starting blocks on either side. The starting blocks are used by our swim lesson programs and the Carrollton Aqua Racers swim team which trains and competes at the facility during the summer months. Throughout various renovations over the last 30+ years, the original starting blocks and mounting hardware have been reinstalled into the renovated decks. Some blocks are becoming harder to repair and many are no longer securely fit into their respective sleeves. Due to the safety concern, starting blocks need to be replaced and installed. Eight brand new starting blocks will be installed on the east side of the lap pool which are the most heavily used during competition. The eight starting blocks on the west side will be repaired and reinstalled properly to insure they are secure and safe for competition.

Carrollton Aqua Racers is in support of the new starting blocks and is contributing funds towards this project. A 10% contingency is included to cover any additional expenses.
