BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services is recommending the purchase of two Ford F-350 pickup trucks assigned to the Police Department Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit. Both trucks are new additions to the fleet. These vehicles will be used on highways, toll roads and feeder roads to enforce commercial vehicle regulations. These vehicles were approved in the FY 2023-24 budget.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
These vehicles will be purchased using budgeted funds from the Police Department Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Fund. The upfit of these vehicles will be the responsibility of the Police Department.

Silsbee Ford (via TIPS): $105,330.00
Contingency funds (if needed) $ 5,266.00
Total $110,596.00

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council approval of the purchase of two Ford F-350 pickup trucks from Silsbee Ford in an amount not to exceed $110,596.00 through an interlocal agreement with the TIPS purchasing cooperative.
