Summary:
The purpose of this item is to approve the acquisition of any necessary right-of-way (ROW) to construct the Carrollton Heights NOTICE project.

Background:
This resolution will provide authorization to purchase any necessary right-of-way and easement to construct the planned improvements to Carrollton Heights. To facilitate the construction of the project, it may be necessary for the City to acquire several parcels of right-of-way. The specific parcels will be determined during design of the project. Examples of items that may require additional right-of-way or easements include utility relocation and reconstruction, sidewalk improvements, and increased turning radius at driveways and cross-streets.

The reconstruction of Carrollton Heights was included as a potential project for the 2018 Bond Election. The project was also included as part of the City's NOTICE program.

Financial Implications:
While final costs will be determined during any necessary property acquisitions, the initial budget will be set at $150,000.00. Funding for the City to acquire any necessary properties is available in the Streets Account (854460).
