BACKGROUND:
Staff has received three quotes to install a new pump at McInnish Park. This pump will use raw water (untreated water) for the irrigation of several sports fields and landscaping.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Three quotes were obtained to acquire and install this pump. The lowest apparent bidder was Monroe Pump Systems, Inc. (MPS) with a quote of $49,200.00.
IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
This project can contribute to community sustainability by lowering watering costs through the use of raw water instead of potable water.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to procure the pump from MPS for $49,200.00.
