Summary:
The purpose of this item is to approve construction items required to finish the Woodlake Lake Ph 1 Project.

Background:
The City has an existing construction contract with Millis Development & Construction - Dallas, LLC for the Woodlake Lake Enhancements project, originally approved by council on January 9th, 2024, with a contract amount of $3,587,868.52. The project includes construction of a pavilion, kayak launch platform, concrete step/plant terracing, and a new parking lot. MESA Design Associates, Inc., serves as the design consultant.

Two change orders have been executed to date:

Change Order No. 1 - Incorporated items not included in the original bid documents.
Total change order: $230,000.00
Adjusted not to exceed: $3,817,868.52
Percent increase: 6.50%

Change Order No. 2 - Funded a mussel survey required by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Total change order: $47,110.73
Adjusted not to exceed: $3,864,979.25
Total percent increase: 7.72%


Change Order No. 3 provides for additional construction tasks necessary to complete the project, including:
* Install storm drain connection from adjacent Woodlake neighborhood and associated improvements.
* Concrete pavement replacement along the trail at the intersection of Peters Colony Road and Josey Lane requested by Parks Department; construct a Barrier-Free Ramp (BFR) in the church parking lot
