Title
Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Negotiate And Execute An Economic Development Incentive Agreement With Energy Access Innovations, LLC Establishing A Program Of Grants To The Company For Its Relocation And The Creation Of Jobs At 2452 Lacy Lane, Or Other Location In The City Of Carrollton, To Promote Local Economic Development And Stimulate Business And Commercial Activity Within The City For A Job Creation Grant Amount Not To Exceed $100,000.

Body
Background:
This agenda item is to consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute an economic development incentive agreement with Energy Access Innovations, LLC.

Energy Access Innovations, LLC (the “Company”) is a diversified provider of energy solutions, including development, distribution, and support services.

The Company is considering establishing its corporate headquarters at 2452 Lacy Lane (the “Real Property”) and transferring or creating up to 50 full-time employees at the Real Property or any other location in the City, over the next ten (10) years of operations. The Company will lease and occupy 19,000 square feet of office space at the Real Property for a minimum ten (10) years. In addition, the agreement would allow the Company to have employees at additional or alternate locations within the City, as long as they have at least 50 employees over the 10-year term.

Financial Implications:
Staff recommends a Job Creation Grant of up to $100,000 for the lease and occupancy of the Real Property, or other location in the City, and the creation of 50 full-time employees over the term of the Agreement. No incentives to the Company will be derived from the City’s General Fund.
