BACKGROUND:
Fleet Services is recommending the purchase of multiple pieces of equipment: one Vermeer SC362 stump grinder for Parks, and one Vermeer CV573GT vacuum trailer for Public Works from Vermeer Texas-Louisiana. The two units are being replaced based on their age, hours and maintenance. The Public Works and Parks departments use these units often, which are used to on sewer lines, and park facilities across the city.
Based on the performance, quality, availability and overall build, Fleet, Parks and Public Works recommend the Vermeer SC362 stump grinder, and Vermeer CV573GT vacuum trailer to be purchased.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
These units will be purchased from Vermeer Texas-Louisiana with budgeted funds through interlocal purchasing agreement with BuyBoard.
