BACKGROUND:
The service and materials to be purchased from this annual contract will include repairs and/or replacements to the brick walls located throughout the City. The RFP allows for up to two one-year renewals if agreed upon by both parties; for a total three-year contract in an amount not to exceed $600,000.00.
Bids were advertised and received of which two vendors responded. Bids were advertised in the Dallas Morning News, previous and new vendors recommended by other cities were contacted. Vendor response to this bid is typical low due to this type of service.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The service and materials on RFP # 20-014 will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost centers and amounts as listed below:

Note: We pursue recovery where possible from drivers that hit the screening walls. An estimated 90% of overall spend falls with the items 1-4 on price sheet.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends a bid award meeting all specifications be awarded to Ratliff Hardscape, LTD for all work in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00.
