BACKGROUND:
This is a request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map to change approximately 13.967-acres from Medium-Intensity Commercial to Single-Family Residential Detached. The site is located on the northwest corner of Old Denton Road and Carrollton Parkway.
On December 6, 2012, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the applicant's request to continue the case to the January 10, 2013 Commission meeting to allow additional time for the applicant to re-submit.
On January 10, 2013, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the applicant's request to continue the case to the February 7, 2013 Commission meeting to allow additional time for the applicant to re-submit.
On February 7, 2013, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval.
On March 5, 2013, the City Council continued this case to its May 7, 2013 agenda to allow the applicant's companion rezoning case (Case No. 12-12Z1 The Ridge) to be considered on the same night's agenda.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
On February 7, 2013, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended APPROVAL. The attached resolution reflects the Commission's action. Although no opposition has been filed, the request did not receive a unanimous vote of approval. Therefore, this case is being placed on the agenda under Public Hearing for Individual Consideration.
