Title

Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into An Agreement With Road Master Striping, LLC Through An Interlocal Contract With The City Of Allen For Street Pavement Marking Services In An Amount Not To Exceed $350,000.00.

Body

BACKGROUND:

This agreement is for citywide street pavement markings services. The City of Allen issued a bid in January 2024 and entered into an annual contract to perform pavement markings services. The City of Carrollton will use the contract to maximize the performance of this service and complete multiple projects at once. This also allows City crews to focus on the higher priority marking issues such as engineering requests, school zone marking maintenance and intersection marking maintenance.

The award will be for the pavement markings service for a one-year initial term. Prior to the end of the term City staff will review the service and bring before Council a renewal recommendation.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

The services will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost center and amount as listed below.

The staff-recommended approval amount is based on the Public Works Department’s annual budget allocation for pavement markings services.

IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:

This project supports and aligns with the City Council’s goals and objectives of managing infrastructure with fiduciary care.
