BACKGROUND:

This is a request for approval of a Special Use Permit to allow an Amusement Arcade (excluding adult arcade) in Suite 120 of the shopping center addressed as 2760 E. Trinity Mills Road, Suite 120.

 

The amusement arcade will consist of 19 arcade machines (15) one-player games and (1) four-player game.  The applicant intends to add 1-2 standard arcade games in the future (allowing a maximum 25 game stations for the SUP).

 

No public comments have been received as of the writing of this report.

 

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

There are no financial implications on the current and future operating budgets regarding this request.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

On October 2, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended APPROVAL with stipulations (concurred with staff).

 

Staff is recommending APPROVAL with stipulations and adoption of the proposed ordinance.
