BACKGROUND:
A sealed Request For Proposal was issued for work needed to prepare multiple sites for traffic lights, plus miscellaneous foundations and pull boxes on these sites plus other city locations. The sites scheduled for work at this time are at Old Denton and Indian Run, Josey and Cheyenne, and various atrial roadways. Additional work will be scheduled throughout the year based on need and budgetary restrictions. The work in this bid includes turnkey work for boring and trenching plus providing conduit and pull boxes for traffic signal, streetlight and pedestrian pole construction. Also included in this request for proposal are precautionary budget numbers only for Parks Maintenance and Tree Restoration needs. This bid has two one-year renewals based if mutually agreeable by both parties.

Bids were advertised and received in which two responded. Bids were posted using Demand Star, the city's website, email communication, and the Carrollton Star.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The services on bid # 15-020 Boring & Trenching will be purchased from budgeted funds for the cost centers and amounts as listed below:
