Discuss Options For 1441 West Trinity Mills Road.

BACKGROUND:
The City purchased the 104,300-square-foot building at 1441 West Trinity Mills Road in 2003. It was formerly a Home Depot store. Since the building is adjacent to the Trinity Mills DART rail station and is located within Carrollton’s IH-35E corridor, its acquisition was a strategic step towards the City’s long-range Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Plan.
In October 2004, the City entered into a lease with Anderson’s Furniture, which is set to expire on April 1, 2016. The purpose of this worksession is to brief the Council on the history and current state of the building and provide for consideration of future options for the building.
