Title

Consider Approval For The Purchase Of One Shade Structure For Thomas Baseball Complex From Site Source Inc. Through An Inter-Local Agreement With BuyBoard In An Amount Not To Exceed $110,528.

Body

BACKGROUND:

As part of the 2013 bond election, funds were approved to replace the restroom/concession building next to the baseball fields at Thomas Park. Staff proposed to council that the remaining funds be used to improve other areas of the baseball complex as the facility had received low grades during a report card project conducted by the Parks and Recreation Department. Council approved the use of the funds to make improvements to shade, seating, sidewalks, fencing, and other amenities necessary for the baseball complex. To maximize the funds available, we will be purchasing the shade structure through BuyBoard and have it installed as part of the general construction bid.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

The shade for the Thomas Baseball Complex will be funded out of the following account:

ACCTG UNIT                                                  BUDGET AMOUNT

Thomas Athletic Complex                                          $110,528

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

Staff recommends approval to purchase the shade structure for Thomas Baseball Complex from Site Source Inc. in an amount not to exceed $110,528 using the City’s existing agreement with BuyBoard.
