BACKGROUND:

This is a request for approval of an alternate finished façade material to be used for a large concrete retaining wall at the Marriott Hotel site.                     

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

On January 7, 2016 the Planning & Zoning Commission failed to approve the requested alternate material.  In accordance with the provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, the applicant has appealed that action to the City Council.  Because the action of the Commission was not unanimous, this item is being placed on the Public Hearing - Individual Consideration portion of the agenda.  Note that action on this item does not require either an ordinance or a resolution.
