BACKGROUND:
City staff is requesting the lease of 160 gasoline golf carts, two (2) beverage cars, two (2) utility vehicles, and one (1) range picker through our member agreement with BuyBoard. The golf cars will be used by Arcis Golf in the business operations of Indian Creek Golf Club. This four-year lease will be with Yamaha Company cars and equipment to provide for a better playing experience at Indian Creek Golf Club. This lease is directly tied to the ability to provide a sustainable golf course and is a major source of revenue. In the new agreement with Arcis, the city is responsible for leasing or purchasing equipment.
The quote was obtained via Yamaha Company utilizing their various pricing BuyBoard. Texas law authorizes this process so that the City can save the time of developing specifications and avoid the duplication of the competitive bidding process. BuyBoard meets all state of Texas bidding requirements.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The equipment will be purchased from budgeted funds from the account and amount listed below.
