Discuss Applications For The Leadership Metrocrest Program.

BACKGROUND:
The Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the next Leadership Metrocrest class until July 30. The total cost of the program is $1,000 for Chamber members and $1,200 for non-members. As in years past, the City has budgeted two $500 scholarships for two Carrollton residents who wish to participate in the program. The City also budgets the full tuition cost for a councilmember or City staff member.
No scholarship applications were received but if there are names Council would like to discuss, an opportunity will be given at the meeting.
I would like to nominate Laurie Garber for the program. In her role as City Secretary, the Leadership Metrocrest program would be a valuable experience and help her become more familiar and connected with the organizations in our community.
