Consider Authorizing The City Manager To Enter Into A Settlement Agreement In The Lawsuit Styled Carrollton V. Paxton (03-13-00838-CV).

BACKGROUND:
The City of Carrollton filed a lawsuit against the Attorney General after receiving inconsistent decisions from the Attorney General. The City and the Attorney General reached the proposed settlement following a decision from the Court of Appeals.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The City will be responsible for its own legal expenses for this lawsuit, but is not responsible for the Attorney General’s costs.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to enter into the settlement agreement.
