Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute Documents Necessary To Convey An Easement And Right-Of-Way To Oncor Electric Delivery Company For The Relocation Of An Electric Transmission Line Along Whitlock Lane; And Providing An Effective Date.

BACKGROUND:
The reconstruction of Whitlock Lane between IH-35E and Old Denton Road is scheduled to begin this fall. The reconstruction of this section of roadway will require the relocation of an Oncor transmission line on the south side of the road. Oncor has an existing easement for this transmission line in its current location that will also need to be relocated. The relocated easement will allow Oncor to relocate the transmission line south of the existing line to a location between the future south curb line of Whitlock Lane and the south right-of-way line.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The easement for the relocation of the Oncor transmission line will be granted by the City of Carrollton in the amount of $10.00. The City will receive payment of $10.00 from Oncor for the relocation of the easement.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council approval of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute documents necessary to convey an easement to Oncor Electric Delivery Company for the relocation of an electric transmission line along Whitlock Lane.
