Consider Approval Of Lights At Rosemeade Dog Park And Rosemeade Practice Fields By Musco Lighting Through An Inter-Local Agreement With BuyBoard In An Amount Not To Exceed $275,000.

BACKGROUND:

The addition of lights for the Rosemeade Practice Fields and Rosemeade Dog Park were approved during the FY17 budget process. New lights will provide access to these parks during the evening hours, allowing our park users more opportunities to benefit from these added amenities. The Parks Department currently has Musco lights throughout our system which allows staff to remotely schedule and control them. This system comes with a 25-year warranty that includes 100% of all maintenance.

 

Staff will make sure these outdoor lights follow city guidelines in regards to the glare ordinance.

 

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

The lights will be funded out of the following accounts:

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

Staff recommends approval of the lights for Rosemeade Dog Park and Rosemeade Practice Fields by Musco Lighting in an amount not to exceed $275,000 using the City’s existing agreement with BuyBoard.
