BACKGROUND:
This is a request for approval of a resolution acknowledging a request for annexation, setting public hearing dates, and directing staff to prepare a Service Plan with regard to the proposed annexation.
The request is being submitted by Taylor Duncan Interests, which is proposing development of approximately 68 single-family detached houses.
At the On June 7, 2016 worksession City Council received a presentation from staff to consider annexation of the property. City Council indicated that they wished to proceed with the development of an annexation schedule.
If City Council approves the attached resolution then public hearings will be held on November 1 and 15, 2016. Adoption of the annexation ordinance is scheduled for December 6, 2016.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council approve a resolution acknowledging a request for annexation, setting public hearing dates, and instructing staff to prepare the Service Plan for the Trails at Arbor Hills.
