Consider A Resolution Nominating Two Directors For The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1, Carrollton, Texas Board Of Directors.

BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this item is for the City Council to nominate two directors. Most recently, these two positions were held by Maggie Vera and Bill Kirkland. Ms. Vera and Mr. Kirkland have expressed interest in continuing their service on the Board.
IMPACT ON COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY:
Maximizing the potential value of transit-oriented development is a strategic goal of the City Council. TIRZ-related funding is one of several financing tools that can be used to assist in creating this value. In return, these investments will yield sustainable value for the entire City.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Approve the attached resolution appointing two members of the TIRZ Board of Directors.
