Consider An Ordinance Annexing Approximately 11.885 Acres Of Land Located On The South Side Of Parker Road, 1,100 Feet East Of Plano Parkway.  Case No. 11-16MD11 Parker Road Tract 3 (Annexation).

BACKGROUND:

On June 7, 2016 City Council received a presentation from staff during their worksession on this proposed project and indicated that they wished to proceed with the development of an annexation schedule. 

On October 18, 2016 the City Council approved a resolution directing the preparation of a service plan and set public hearing dates and directed publication of said annexation.

On November 1 and 15, 2016 City Council conducted public hearings regarding the proposed annexation of the property.

The Town of Hebron has scheduled the adoption of an ordinance disannexing the property on December 5, 2016.  The adoption of the City of Carrollton ordinance annexing the property becomes null and void should the Town of Hebron fail to adopt an ordinance dis-annexing the property. 

Two companion cases establishing future land use designations and zoning are also being considered by City Council on the agenda.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:

Staff recommends City Council adoption of the attached ordinance, subject to the Town of Hebron adopting an ordinance disannexing the property.
