BACKGROUND:
City Council awarded a contract on May 3, 2016 to Jim Bowman Construction Company in the amount of $949,310.05 for the replacement of pavement panels in Kelly Boulevard between Country Club Drive and Keller Springs Road, and which included a right turn lane at the Rosemeade Recreation Center and Rosemeade Parkway and sidewalk improvements along Broadway.
Change Order No. 1 reflects a change in scope to add additional pavement replacement on Kelly Boulevard and additional sidewalk on Broadway that includes the sidewalk along the Monkey Noodle restaurant.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This change order consists of an additional $43,156.50, which increases the contract from $949,310.05 to $992,466.55, a 4.55% increase. Funding for the additional work is available in the Streets Consolidated Account.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 1 to Jim Bowman Construction Company, which will increase the construction contract to an amount not to exceed $992,466.55.
