BACKGROUND:
The intent of this memo is to request additional funding for Cruise One for an extended trip for FY2017. This trip is a cruise to the Panama Canal. The date for travel is March 28, 2017. The cost is approximately $4,739 per person and is dependent on cabin location and occupancy. On June 7, 2016, City Council approved funding for $97,000.00, item #13. We had an unexpected interest for this trip and an additional 10 passengers signed up after the down payment was made.
Staff does obtain three quotes for the trips; however other factors are included such as exact location of tour, excursions during the tour, customer evaluations on previous trips, etc. There is no HUB vendor listed for tour companies.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of additional travel services for the Carrollton Senior Center to Cruise One for an additional amount of $46,500.00, for a not to exceed purchase of $143,310.00.
