Title
Consider A Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute A Contract With Lindamood Demolition, Inc. For The Building Demolition At 1410 Fannidella Drive Through An Interlocal Agreement With The City Of Fort Worth, In An Amount Not To Exceed $99,583.00.
Body
BACKGROUND:
The structures at 1410 Fannidella Drive, a city-owned 1.58 acre tract, are being demolished in preparation for the redevelopment of the area.
Three vendors were invited to provide demolition and stabilization quotes. Lindamood Demolition submitted the lowest cost and is the recommended vendor based on a bid award from the City of Fort Worth and a general action resolution from City Council to access other North Texas government bid award contracts. One vendor’s quote was 25% higher than Lindamood Demolition. The other vendor’s was 27% higher.
Lindamood Demolition submitted a quote of $82,986.00 for the demolition of all the structures on the property. With a 20% contingency, the total expenditure would not exceed $99,583.00, an amount that is still below the quotes of the other demolition providers. Funding for this work is allocated in the Transit-Oriented Development Capital Projects Fund.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION/ACTION DESIRED:
Staff recommends City Council adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Lindamood Demolition, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $99,583.00 for the demolition of structures at 1410 Fannidella Drive.
